Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Depression Nicholas is inland north of the
area in SW Louisiana and is currently stationary, but is
expected to gradually move northward over the next couple of
days. Nicholas is forecast to become a remnant low Thu. For the 
remainder of the week, gentle to moderate southerly flow will 
dominate the basin.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure located about midway between the
Bahamas and Bermuda is producing poorly organized shower 
activity. Environmental conditions are expected to become more 
conducive for development. Thus, a tropical depression is likely 
to form in the next day or two while the system moves NNW to N off
the SE U.S. coast. Regardless of development, increased winds and
seas can be expected between the Bahamas and Bermuda through the 
remainder of the week, and some high surf is possible offshore N 
FLorida. Elsewhere, weak high pressure will lead to gentle to 
moderate mainly easterly winds across the basin.
