Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough of low pressure and upper level disturbance
continue to produce disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms
over the central and eastern Gulf of Mexico. This activity will
move NE over the NE Gulf today, and upper level winds may become
slightly more favorable for tropical or subtropical development
as the system nears the northern Gulf coast tonight or early
Thu. 

.TODAY...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Isolated
tstms. 
.THU...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S after midnight.
Seas 3 ft in the evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less. Isolated

.SYNOPSIS...Large swells generated from Major Hurricane Larry,
passing well E of the area, will propagate across area waters. 
Seas of 8 ft may reach as far W as 80W Thu night. Low pressure 
may develop in the NE Gulf of Mexico tonight and cross the SE U.S.
Thu. It could emerge into Atlantic waters Thu night or Fri. There
is some potential of tropical or subtropical development while 
the system is in the NE Gulf, and additional potential off the N 
Florida or Georgia coast late this week.

.TODAY...S of 27N, SE winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N, SW to W winds
less than 5 kt, shifting to S in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

.TONIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.THU...S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW 10 to 15 kt N of 27N.
