Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak low pressure just off the NW coast of the
Yucatan Peninsula is forecast to move N or NE over the central
and NE Gulf of Mexico over next few days, likely reaching the
northern Gulf coast by mid-week. Upper-level winds are currently
unfavorable for tropical development, but could become somewhat
conducive for formation before it reaches the coast. Aside from
this low pressure, high pressure will bring light to gentle
winds and slight seas into mid-week.  

.TODAY...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Larry will move northward well E of
the area this week, but large swell and rough seas generated by it
may reach area waters later this week. Otherwise, high pressure
should generally provide light to gentle winds and fair conditions
into late week.

.TODAY...S of 27N, E to SE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to S in
the afternoon. N of 27N, W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds less than 5 kt S of 27N, and SW 5 to 10 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and slight chance of
tstms. 
.TUE...W to NW winds less than 5 kt, shifting to NE to E in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft in NE to E swell
in the afternoon. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
