Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southwest to west winds over the NE
Gulf will persist through tonight ahead of a frontal trough.
Then, light and variable winds will prevail over the NE Gulf
during the upcoming weekend. Elsewhere, a ridge will dominate
the Gulf region producing mainly gentle to moderate southerly
winds through Fri. Pulsing fresh winds are expected northwest of
the Yucatan Peninsula at night through Fri. Looking ahead, an
area of low pressure that is currently located just off the
coast of Nicaragua could move over the southwestern Gulf of
Mexico during the weekend and early next week, but by then
strong upper-level winds would likely limit significant
development. 

.OVERNIGHT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt,  shifting to S 5 to 10 kt
late. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and

.THU NIGHT...W to NW winds 10 to 15 kt,  shifting to SW 5 to

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southwest winds over the northwest
part of the region will shift northeast of the area by late Thu.
These winds are ahead of a frontal trough forecast to weaken as 
it moves across the northern waters W of 70W Sat through Sun 
night. Looking ahead, swells generated by tropical cyclone Larry
are expected to propagate across the waters NE and E of the 
Leeward Islands Sat night into Sun, likely reaching 65W Mon and 
Mon night.

.OVERNIGHT...N winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N. 
.THU...S of 27N, SE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to S to SW in
the afternoon. N of 27N, SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less
S of 27N, and 3 to 4 ft N of 27N.
