Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southwest to west winds over the NE
Gulf will persist through tonight ahead of a frontal trough.
Then, light and variable winds will prevail over the NE Gulf
during the upcoming weekend. Elsewhere, a ridge will dominate
the Gulf region producing mainly gentle to moderate southerly
winds through Fri. Pulsing fresh winds are expected northwest of
the Yucatan Peninsula at night through Fri. Looking ahead, an
area of low pressure that is currently over the southwestern
Caribbean Sea may have an opportunity for gradual development in
the southwestern Gulf of Mexico early next week. Scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected near the Yucatan
Peninsula late this week and into the weekend.

3 ft or less. 
.THU...Straits of Florida, SE winds 10 kt in the morning,
becoming variable less than 5 kt. Elsewhere, S winds 10 to 15 kt.

.FRI...Variable winds less than 5 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft in SE to 
S swell.

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southwest winds over the northwest
part of the area will shift northeast of the area by late Thu.
The trough will weaken as it moves across the northern waters W 
of 70W Sat through Sun night. Looking ahead, swells generated by
tropical cyclone Larry are expected to reach the waters NE and E 
of the Leeward Islands on Sun, likely reaching 65W on Mon and Mon 
night. 

.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 20 to 
25 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 8 ft N of 27N.
 Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms N of 27N.. 
.THU...S of 27N,E to SE winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SW in
the afternoon. N of 27N, SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft in
