Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Ida is centered inland near 31.0N
90.8W 990 mb at 5 AM EDT, moving N at 7 kt. Maximum sustained
winds 50 kt gusts 70 kt. Ida will continue moving northward
while weakening. Fresh to strong winds associated with Ida will
continue to affect the north-central gulf today. Moderate to
fresh return flow will dominate the basin afterwards continuing
through Wed. Winds will further diminish to gentle to locally
moderate by mid-week. 

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TUE...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE NIGHT...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE to S after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED...S winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to W 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED NIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to S 5 to 10 kt

.SYNOPSIS...A weak pressure gradient will prevail through Wed, 
which will result in light to gentle variable winds. Moderate to
fresh SW winds will develop over NE Florida offshore waters by 
Wed night ahead of a cold front moving E just N of the area. 
Moderate to fresh SW winds will cover the ofsshore waters N of 
the Bahamas through Thu.  

.TODAY...NE to E winds less than 5 kt S of 27N, and NE to E 5 to
10 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or
less. 
.TONIGHT...E winds less than 5 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
