EDT moving NW at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts
65 kt. Ida will strengthen to a hurricane near 22.2N 83.7W this
evening, move to 24.0N 85.8W Sat morning, 25.9N 87.8W Sat
evening, 27.6N 89.7W Sun morning, 29.0N 90.8W Sun evening, and
move inland and weaken to a tropical storm near 30.3N 91.3W Mon
morning. Ida will weaken to a tropical depression while moving
inland near 33.3N 90.2W early Tue.

15 to 20 kt, increasing to 25 to 35 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3

.SYNOPSIS...Surface ridging will extend southward into the SW N 
Atlantic through Sun night supporting gentle to moderate E to SE
winds. A weaker pressure gradient is expected the remainder 
forecast period, which will result in light to gentle variable 
winds. Otherwise, fresh winds are expected to pulse N of 
Hispaniola during the evening hours through Sat night.
