Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough extends across the NE Gulf is
accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms. The trough 
will drift while dissipating through tonight. The Atlantic high 
pressure ridge is building across the basin, with 1018 mb high 
centered near 26N86W. The high will drift westward and dominate 
the Gulf region during the upcoming weekend then reorganize over 
the E Gulf by early next week. 

.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...The Azores high will dominate the forecast waters 
through the period, while a surface trough will remain over or 
just off the coast of the SE United States. Expect fresh  
easterly winds late afternoon through the night just off the N 
coast of Hispaniola, including approaches to the Windward 
Passage, most of the forecast period. Moderate to fresh S to SW 
winds are expected across the far NW waters Sun night through
Mon night.
