Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge extending from the Atlantic
near 23N to the central Gulf will continue to shift east-
southeastward through the weekend. A trough over the SW Gulf
will continue to produce active weather through possibly late
tonight. Hurricane Elsa over the eastern Caribbean Sea is
forecast to move over portions of central and western Cuba Sun
night and Mon, the Straits of Florida late Mon, then track over
a portion of the eastern Gulf Tue before possibly moving inland
central Florida late Tue. There is a lot of uncertainty
regarding the exact track and intensity of Elsa.  

.OVERNIGHT...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to SE after
midnight. Seas 3 ft in the evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. NE winds 15 to
20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after midnight. 
.MON...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. 
.MON NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. 
.TUE...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.

.WED...SE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming E to SE 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 3 to 6 ft.  

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Atlantic high pressure will continue to shift 
southeastward through the weekend in response to a cold front 
that will approach the far northwest forecast waters. The front 
will become stationary just north of the area early next week. 
Hurricane Elsa is over the eastern Caribbean, and is forecast 
to move near the southern coast of Hispaniola late Sat or Sat
night, and move over portions of central and western Cuba Sun 
night and Mon and the Straits of Florida late Mon before
entering the southeastern Gulf into Tue. 

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW
20 to 25 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms. 
.SAT...S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW 15 to 20 kt N of 27N.
Seas 3 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.SAT NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW
15 to 20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms. 
.SUN...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. E winds 10 to 15 kt S
