Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters over the next
several days producing mainly moderate E to SE winds. Fresh east
to southeast winds are expected at night near the western
Yucatan Peninsula through Fri due to local effects induced by a
thermal trough. Another trough will persist over the SW Gulf
over the next several days producing showers and thunderstorms.
Winds and seas may be higher near thunderstorms.  

.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms S of 27N. Isolated showers 
and thunderstorms N of 27N.
.THU...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SE 10 to 15 kt N of 27N.
Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...The Atlantic ridge will build westward and dominate 
the forecast waters the remainder of the week. Fresh to strong 
winds are expected just north of Hispaniola Thu night through
Sun night due to the pressure gradient between the Atlantic
ridge and strong tropical wave that is crossing the Lesser 
Antilles. Recently formed Potential Tropical Cyclone Five well
southeast of the area in the Tropical N Atlantic is forecast to
track south of the area across the eastern and central 
Caribbean through Sat, then track northwest across Haiti late
Sat and across Cuba Sun through late Mon. This will allow for
winds  and seas to increase over the far southwest waters and
Straits of Florida late Sun through late Mon.
