Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure ridging will remain over the
central Gulf of Mexico into mid-week, supporting mainly gentle
to moderate anticyclonic winds across the basin. Broad low
pressure in the Bay of Campeche will begin to lift northward by
mid-week. This low is likely to develop further as it lifts
north, and a tropical depression when the low moves across the
central or northwest Gulf of Mexico.

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge of high pressure along 27N will continue to 
weaken and sink southward tonight. Winds will be fresh to strong 
north of 28N into mid-week as a pair of cold fronts move by north 
of the area.
