Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from Fort Myers, Florida southwestward to 24N88W and to the central Bay of Campeche, while a cold front extends from the western Florida panhandle to 28N93W and inland just south of Brownsville, Texas. Fresh to strong winds north to northeast winds are behind the cold front. The stationary front will begin to move southeastward as a cold front this morning exiting the southeastern Gulf by early this evening. The cold front will reach from west-central Florida to the central Gulf by late tonight, then weaken early Thu as it reaches from southwest Florida to near 23N90W. Fresh to strong southerly return flow will develop over the western Gulf Fri, shift to the central Gulf early Sat and diminish late Sat as another cold front enters the far NW Gulf. This cold front will move across the rest of the Gulf through Sun night as it weakens.
