Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a ridge building over the eastern Gulf and low pressure over eastern Mexico will support fresh to strong southeast winds over the central Gulf today. A cold front over the western Gulf will stall and weaken late tonight and dissipate by early Sat. The remnant boundary will then shift westward into Mexico and southern Texas Fri through Sat. Another cold front is expected to move into the western Gulf of Mexico on Sun, reach from the NE Gulf to the southwestern Gulf Mon and become stationary. The ridge will begin to shift eastward late Sun night through Tue night in response to a cold front that will move off the southeastern U.S. coast. The cold front will reach from near 31N72W to 29N75W, where it will become stationary to east-central Florida Mon. By late Tue, the stationary front will lift back N as a warm front, while the cold front shifts E of the area.
