Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a ridge building over
the eastern Gulf and low pressure over E Mexico will support
fresh to strong SE winds over the central Gulf today. A cold
front will move into the W Gulf today, with a brief period of
near gale force winds west of the front off Tampico, Mexico this
afternoon. The front will stall and weaken late tonight. The
remnant boundary will then shift westward into Mexico and
southern Texas Fri into Sat. Another cold front will move into
the Gulf of Mexico early next week.

.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge will build westward across the
northern waters, roughly along 29N, through the end of the week 
and persist through the weekend. Moderate to fresh winds will
prevail south of the ridge, with winds strengthening over the
approach to, and into, the Windward passage tonight into early
next week.

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and
3 to 4 ft N of 27N. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to
