Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from just N of Tampa, Florida
to the central Yucatan Peninsula this morning. Reinforcing cold
air behind the front will continue to support gale force
northerly winds near Tampico, and in the Veracruz region through
late this morning, with seas building to around 16 ft. The front
will exit the basin by this evening. High pressure will be in
control of the Gulf region into Sun. The next cold front will
move into the northwest Gulf Sun night into Mon morning, and
move across the basin through Tue.  

.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt behind the
front by afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft,building to 5 to 7 ft in the 
afternoon. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.SAT...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front moving offshore of NE FLorida and the 
SE U.S. coast this morning will reach from Bermuda to the 
northern Bahamas and western Cuba by late Sat, then stall and 
weaken from 24N65W to central Cuba by late Sun. Active showers 
and thunderstorms will accompany the front. High pressure 
following the front will support fresh to strong NE to E winds 
across the western Atlantic Sat night through Mon. The next
front will move off the NE Florida coast Mon night, reaching
from  Bermuda to the Straits of Florida by Tue night. 

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt N
of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...S of 27N,S winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SW to W
10 to 15 kt after midnight. N of 27N,SW to W winds 20 to 25 kt,
shifting to NW 15 to 20 kt after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
