Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure across the southern U.S. that extends
into the Gulf of Mexico will shift eastward through Thu, ahead
of a cold front that will move into the northern Gulf early Fri
morning. The front will stall from the Big Bend of Florida to
Brownsville Texas Fri afternoon, then weaken and drift northward
though Sat night. Fresh to locally strong southerly winds are
expected ahead of the front on Thu.  

.TODAY...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.THU...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft late. 
.FRI...S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extending from SE of Bermuda
near 31N60W to the coast of Haiti near 20N72W will reach from
24N65W to the Dominican Republic later today, then stall and
weaken on Thu. Gale-force winds are noted north of 27N on either
side of the front. Reinforcing cold air will maintain near-gale
to gale-force conditions today, with winds diminishing tonight
and Thu. Long period northerly swell in the wake of the front
will propagate across the forecast waters to the Caribbean 
passages through Thu. 

.TODAY...NW winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and NW 20 to 25 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 9 ft N of 27N. 
.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and NW 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N. 
.THU...S of 27N, N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE in
