Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pressure prevails across the basin in
the wake of a cold front currently E of the area. Fresh to
strong N to NW winds prevail across the eastern half of the
Gulf, including the Straits of Florida and the Yucatan Channel.
These winds will gradually diminish through this evening as the
ridge weakens. The next cold front will reach the Texas coast
Thu night, reach from the Florida Big Bend to Tampico Fri
afternoon and stall afterwards before dissipating Sat. Fresh
northerly winds will follow this front. 

.TODAY...NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in N swell. 
.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.WED...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.WED NIGHT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extending from 31N69W to
Camaguey, Cuba will reach from 31N62W to Haiti tonight, and
stall from 30N59W to the Dominican Republic Wed evening before 
dissipating on Thu night. Gust to gale force W to NW winds are 
behind the front N of 24N while gale force SW winds are ahead of 
the front. Gale conditions will shift eastward with the front 
through early Wed. Afterwards, fresh to near gale force winds N of
27N will gradually diminish through Wed night. Northerly long-
period swell associated with the front will propagate through the 
forecast waters through mid-week, then it will begin to subside as
it becomes confined to the eastern section of the area Thu 
through Fri night.

35 kt N of 27N. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE swell. 
.TONIGHT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and W to NW 20 to 30 kt
N of 27N. Seas 6 to 9 ft in NE swell. 
.WED...NW winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and NW 20 to 25 kt N of
