Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Building high pressure over the SE U.S. will bring 
increasing southerly return flow and building seas over the W Gulf
today and Mon. The ridge will weaken late Mon as a weak cold 
front moves into the W Gulf, stalling by early Tue. The front 
will then get reinforced on Wed and progress E across the basin 
into Thu night. Gales are expected Wed afternoon through Thu over 
portions of the western Gulf, in the wake of the cold front.

.TONIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 to
4 ft in the afternoon. 
.MON NIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TUE...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from 24N65W to the NW Bahamas
then stalls to near West Palm Beach, Florida. This front will be
overtaken by a reinforcing surge of high pressure tonight, then
move S to along 21N by Sun night. S flow will increase across the
waters E of north-central Florida Mon into Tue. A stronger cold 
front will move off the SE U.S. coast Wed night while the 
associated low pressure rapidly intensifies N of the area through 
the end of the week. Gale force winds and very large seas are 
expected with this system, mainly N of 27N.
