Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A 1013 mb low over the NW Gulf near 27N95W will will gradually weaken as it tracks northeastward across the rest of the NW and north-central Gulf waters through Mon. It will track east-northeastward across the NE Gulf Mon night. Northerly winds following a trailing cold front have reached gale force over the NW Gulf tonight. Gale force southeast winds are near the low. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ahead of this system over north-central Gulf waters. The front will exit the southeastern Gulf Tue night be over the Straits of Florida Wed. High pressure will build over the NW Gulf in the wake of the front, except a trough will persist over the far SW Gulf Tue and Wed. This pattern will allow for winds to diminish and seas to subside, except for fresh to strong northwest winds along the Mexican coast west of the trough.
