Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A pair of cold fronts over the SE Gulf of Mexico
will merge today and are forecast to move E of the basin
tonight. Winds and seas will diminish Tue as high pressure
builds over the northern Gulf. Looking ahead, southerly return
flow will increase over the NW Gulf by Thu ahead of the next
cold front.  

.TODAY...NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft,building to 5 to
7 ft in the afternoon. 
.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.TUE...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.TUE NIGHT...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.WED...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.WED NIGHT...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft in the
evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...A frontal boundary just N of the Bahamas will merge 
with a second cold front that extends from 31N77W to Cape
Canaveral this morning. By Tue, the front will stretch from 
Bermuda through the SE Bahamas and into eastern Cuba. Gale force 
winds are expected to develop late this morning ahead and behind 
the front N of 27N. Gale force winds and building seas are 
forecast to continue through Tue morning. 

.TODAY...S of 27N,SW winds 20 to 25 kt. N of 27N, SW winds 15 to
20 kt, becoming W 25 to 30 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and W to NW 20 to 25 kt
N of 27N. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
