Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Eta over the southeastern Gulf of
Mexico near 24.6N 83.4W 994 mb at 10 AM EST is moving SW at
12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts 60 kt. Eta will move
to near 23.9N 84.7W this evening, then begin to strengthen near
23.6N 85.3W early Tue with maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts
65 kt, move to near 24.5N 85.4W Tue evening with maximum
sustained winds 60 kt gusts 75 kt. Eta will maintain intensity
as it slowly moves north-northeastward reaching near 25.6N 85.5W
early Wed with maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt, to
near 26.5N 85.3W Wed evening, then begin to gradually weaken as
it reaches near 27.2N 85.1W early Thu with maximum sustained
winds 50 kt gusts 60 kt and to near 28.4N 84.4W early Fri with
maximum sustained winds 45 kt gusts 55 kt. A cold front will
move into the NW Gulf Wed and become stationary over the
northern Gulf through Fri.

winds 20 to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas 9 to 13 ft. Elsewhere, 
NW to N winds 40 to 50 kt in the afternoon. Seas 10 to 16 ft, 
building to 16 to 24 ft in the afternoon. Numerous showers and 
scattered thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. Straits of 
Florida, SW winds 30 to 35 kt, becoming S to SW 45 to 50 kt 
late. Elsewhere, N to NE winds 40 to 50 kt. Seas 12 to 19 ft 
Straits of Florida, and 18 to 27 ft elsewhere. Numerous showers 
and scattered thunderstorms.
.TUE...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. Straits of Florida, S 
to SW winds 45 to 50 kt, diminishing to 30 to 35 kt in the 
afternoon. Elsewhere, N to NE winds 45 to 55 kt. Seas 12 to 18 
ft Straits of Florida, and 17 to 26 ft elsewhere. Numerous 
showers and scattered thunderstorms. 
.TUE NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. Straits of

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Eta is over the southeastern Gulf of 
Mexico near 24.6N 83.4W 994 mb at 10 AM EST moving SW at 12 kt, 
with maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts 60 kt. Eta will maintain 
intensity as it moves west-southwestward this afternoon and 
tonight. Strong to near gale winds will prevail over the western 
Atlantic the next couple of days, with gale force winds continuing
off the coast of northern Florida today and tonight. These winds 
will maintain large seas in the western Atlantic through Tue 
before gradually subsiding through late Thu night.

with frequent gusts to 35 kt N of 27N. Seas 9 to 14 ft in NE to
