Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Zeta near 21.0N 88.4W 984 mb at 5 AM
EDT moving NW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts
75 kt. Zeta will strengthen to a hurricane near 22.3N 90.1W this
afternoon, then move to 24.4N 91.5W Wed morning. Hurricane Zeta
will reach 27.5N 91.2W Wed afternoon, then move inland and
weaken to a tropical storm near 31.7N 88.0W Thu morning. Zeta
will weaken to a tropical depression over North Carolina Thu
afternoon. A cold front will move into the NW Gulf Wed and 
stretch from Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula by late Thu. It will
exit S and E of the basin Fri night. Fresh to locally strong 
northerly winds will follow behind the front through Fri night.

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between high pressure in the
central Atlantic and lower pressure over the Caribbean and Gulf
of Mexico will lead to moderate to fresh SW winds S of 27N
through Thu. A cold front will move into the NW waters Fri, with
some strong SW winds ahead of it. The front will reach 29N65W to
the central Bahamas by late Sat. Fresh to strong NE to E winds
will follow this front, mainly N of 28N,through the weekend.
