Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Beta is near 26.6N 92.6W 994 mb at
11 AM EDT moving NW at 3 kt. Maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts
60 kt. Beta will move to 26.9N 93.0W this evening, 27.1N 93.8W
Sun morning, 27.5N 94.8W Sun evening, strengthen to a hurricane
near 27.8N 95.5W Mon morning, 28.2N 96.2W Mon evening, and move
inland and weaken to a tropical storm near 28.6N 96.2W Tue
morning. Beta will move inland near 29.5N 95.0W by early Wed. A
cold front will move through the northeast Gulf through the
weekend, bringing fresh to strong NE winds into early next week.
 

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Teddy near 26.0N 59.0W 958 mb at 11 AM EDT
moving NW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 105 kt gusts 130 kt.
Teddy will move to 27.3N 60.4W this evening, 28.8N 61.7W Sun
morning, 30.4N 62.2W Sun evening, 33.1N 61.6W Mon morning, 37.1N
61.2W Mon evening, and 40.8N 61.8W Tue morning. Teddy will
weaken as an extratropical cyclone near 47.0N 59.8W by early
Wed. Swell  generated by Teddy will continue to impact the
Bahamas this  weekend. A strong cold front that moved off the
coast of Georgia  and the Carolinas overnight will move SE and
weaken, then stall  early next week from near Bermuda to the
Florida Straits. Behind  the front, near gale force winds NE are
anticipated across a  broad area of Atlantic waters N of 25N
from later today through  Mon. Tropical Storm Wilfred in the
tropical Atlantic is expected  to weaken and dissipate before
reaching the area by early next week.

20 to 25 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 7 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms.
