Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A well-defined area of low pressure over the
southwestern Gulf will meander over the southwestern Gulf for
the next day or so before moving slowly northward to
northeastward on Fri and Sat, with potential for it to become a
tropical depression or tropical storm later today. A Gale
Warning has been issued for this system. A weak front will move
into the northern Gulf on Sat, followed by fresh to strong east
to northeast winds.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Isolated showers
and thunderstorms.
.FRI...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. Isolated showers and 
thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Teddy near 19.3N 53.0W 957 mb at 11 AM EDT
moving NW at 10 kt. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 105
kt gusts 130 kt. Teddy will move to near 20.4N 54.0W this 
evening, to near 21.8N 55.5W Fri morning, to near 23.5N 57.0W Fri 
evening, to near 25.5N 58.9W Sat morning, and begin to weaken as 
it reaches to near 28.7N 62.7W Sun morning and to just north of 
the area near 32.4N 63.4W early Mon. Swell generated by Teddy 
will impact the Bahamas this weekend. A cold front will move off 
the southeastern U.S. coast Fri night, then become nearly 
stationary on Sun. Strong northeast winds are expected north of 
the front, with building seas. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S
15 to 20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and 
isolated thunderstorms.
