Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Long-period swell from distant Hurricane Laura will 
impact the forecast waters through tonight. Then, Atlantic high 
pressure will build westward over the eastern Gulf in the wake of 
Laura. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Isolated tstms.
.FRI...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge just north of the area will 
gradually shift southward into the upcoming weekend. A cold front 
will move off the southeastern U.S. coast on Sun, then stall just 
north of the area Sun night. Moderate to locally fresh SW winds 
will precede the front this weekend over the waters N of 29N.
