Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure across the basin will maintain
generally tranquil conditions across the Gulf through the rest
of the week. A tropical wave in the central Caribbean has a high
chance of tropical cyclone formation by this weekend, and this
system is expected to approach the Yucatan Peninsula or Channel
early Sat and then emerge in the southern Gulf Sat night through
Sun.

after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE 10 to 15 kt after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated

.SYNOPSIS...An elongated area of low pressure remains across the
central Tropical Atlantic, associated with a tropical wave. 
Environmental conditions are favorable for tropical development 
and a tropical depression is expected to form in the next day or
 so as the low pressure moves WNW at 15 to 20 mph. This system
is forecast to approach the Leeward Islands early Fri, move
across  or just north of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico Sat,
and then along northern Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos
Islands Sat night through Sun.
