Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will create generally tranquil
conditions in the Gulf through the rest of the week. Low
pressure forming in the central Caribbean this morning has a
high chance of tropical formation by this weekend, and this
system may approach the Yucatan Peninsula or Channel this
weekend. 

.TODAY...SW winds less than 5 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered

.SYNOPSIS...A broad and elongated area of low pressure in the 
central tropical Atlantic is in an environment favorable for 
tropical development and a tropical depression is expected to
form in the next day or so as it moves WNW at 15 to 20 mph.
There is a high chance of tropical formation in the next
48 hours. This  system is forecast to approach the Leeward
Islands Fri, move  across or just north of the Virgin Islands
and Puerto Rico Sat, and then Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos
Islands Sun.
