Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak pressure pattern will prevail across the Gulf
through Wed night before high pressure over the central Atlantic
builds modestly across Florida and into the eastern basin Thu
through Fri. Looking ahead, fresh to strong winds are expected
over the south central Gulf Sat and Sun with and ahead of a
potential low pressure approaching the region from the northwest
Caribbean and Cuba. This low has a potential for tropical
development. 

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.WED NIGHT...SW to W winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SE to S
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms. 
.THU...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A broad and elongated area of low pressure in the
central tropical Atlantic is in an environment favorable for
tropical development and a tropical depression is expected to
form in the next day or so as it moves WNW at 15 to 20 mph.
There is a high chance of tropical formation in the next
48 hours. This  system is forecast to approach the Leeward
Islands Fri, move  across or just north of the Virgin Islands
and Puerto Rico Sat, and then through the southern Bahamas Sat 
night and Sun.
