Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine well E-SE of the
basin near 14.4N 55.9W 1007 mb at 5 PM EDT moving WNW at 20 kt.
Maximum sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt. Nine will move to
15.4N 58.8W Wed morning while likely becoming a tropical storm.
Nine will be nearing the Bahamas/Florida Panhandle region this
weekend.  Otherwise, surface ridging will dominate the Gulf
waters through Fri supporting mainly gentle to moderate return
flow. A surface trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula
each evening, shift westward into the SW Gulf waters each night,
and dissipate over the SW Gulf each morning. Fresh to locally
strong easterly winds associated with this trough swill affect
the Yucatan Peninsula adjacent waters and the SW basin through
this period.

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine near 14.4N 55.9W
1007 mb at 5 PM EDT moving WNW at 20 kt. Maximum sustained winds
35 kt gusts 45 kt. Nine will move to 15.4N 58.8W Wed morning
while likely becoming a tropical storm, to near 16.7N 62.5W Wed 
afternoon, 18.2N 66.1W Thu morning, 19.7N 69.7W Thu afternoon, 
20.9N 72.5W Fri morning, and 22.2N 75.3W Fri afternoon. Nine
will  change little in intensity as it moves near 24.7N 79.0W
Sat  afternoon. Heavy showers and tstms are expected the affect
the  Bahamas, Turk and Caicos, and the Greater Antilles adjacent
waters through early in the weekend.
