Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Surface high pressure will remain centered over the
Gulf through the weekend with the high center fluctuating
between the NW and NE basin. This will allow for the continuation
of moderate to fresh return flow west of 90W and moderate westerly
winds across NE portions of the basin. Scattered showers are 
forecast for the NE and SE portions of the basin Fri and Sat as 
associated with a broad area of low pressure currently centered 
over North Carolina.

.THU...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A broad area of low pressure over North Carolina
extends S across the waters W of 70W as a surface trough.
Scattered and showers associated with this elongated area of low
pressure will continue to affect the waters E and N of the
Bahamas through the weekend. Surface ridging will dominate the
remainder offshores E of 70W. The pressure gradient between the
low and the ridge will support moderate to fresh winds across
most of the region, increasing to fresh to strong winds N of the
Bahamas over the weekend. 

.TONIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.THU NIGHT...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft after midnight. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms.
