Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure, the remnant of TS Amanda, is centered
over the southern Yucatan peninsula. The low is expected to
slowly drift into the southwest Gulf through mid week, possibly
redeveloping into a tropical cyclone. Strong to near gale force
winds and high seas are expected in the Bay of Campeche through
mid week. Elsewhere, a weak cold front over the northeast Gulf
will gradually dissipate today as it moves toward the far
southeast Gulf. Looking ahead, the low pressure over the
southwest Gulf will be absorbed into a broader low emerging out
of southern Mexico by Fri.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from near Bermuda
southwestward to 29N74W and to just east of Cape Canaveral,
Florida will reach from just east of Bermuda to the northern
Bahamas by late this  afternoon, then stall along 25N by Tue
afternoon and dissipate by Wed. Northeast winds behind the front
will increase to fresh to  strong through tonight. A trough
southeast of the front from near 30N65W to 23N72W will move east
of the area by early this  evening. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are along and ahead  of the trough. High pressure
building in the wake of the front  will support moderate to
fresh trade winds south of 22N Wed  through Fri.
