Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front extends from Tampa Bay SW to the
Yucatan Peninsula. Scattered showers and tstms are ahead of the
front affecting the SE basin, portions of South Florida and the
Florida Straits. The front will move eastward across the remainder
Gulf through this evening. A second cold front is forecast to 
stall along the northern Gulf Coast late Wed through Fri. Elsewhere,
smoke from agricultural fires in Mexico may reduce visibility at 
times in the Bay of Campeche for the next several days. 

.TODAY...SW to W winds 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft
in the afternoon. 
.TONIGHT...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Arthur near 37.0N 70.6W 991 mb at
5 AM EDT moving ENE at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 50 kt
gusts 60 kt. Arthur will become extratropical and move to 36.9N 
68.7W this afternoon, 36.1N 66.7W Wed morning, 34.6N 65.7W Wed 
afternoon, 33.3N 65.2W Thu morning, and weaken as an extratropical
cyclone near 32.0N 65.0W Fri morning. Arthur will dissipate early
Sat. Northerly swell from Arthur is expected to move into the 
waters N of the Bahamas Wed and subside by Fri morning. Otherwise,
a weak cold front will move across Florida into the far western 
waters tonight and dissipate by Wed morning.
