Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front extends from extreme western
Florida Panhandle to near 25N92W. The front will move eastward
across the Gulf through Tue evening. Scattered showers and tstms
are ahead of this front affecting the waters E of 87W. A second
cold front will follow, and forecast to stall along the northern
Gulf Coast Wed through Fri. Elsewhere, smoke from agricultural
fires in Mexico may reduce visibility at times in the Bay of
Campeche for the next several days.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon.
Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.TUE...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Arthur N of area near 35.1N 75.2W
996  mb at 1500 UTC moving NNE or 030 deg at 14 kt. Maximum
sustained  winds 45 kt gusts 55 kt. Arthur will begin to veer
more NE and then E today through tonight, then become
extratropical Tue and move ESE, reaching near 32N 64W Thu
morning. Northerly swell from Arthur is expected to move into
the waters N of the Bahamas Wed  and Thu. Otherwise, a high
pressure ridge will persist across the  central waters for the
next several days. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...S winds 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3 to
4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N
