Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front extending from SE Louisiana over
the NW Gulf to just south of Corpus Christi, Texas will move
eastward across the northern Gulf early this week. This front
may be followed by another cold front that could stall near the
northern Gulf Coast or over the northern Gulf Wed through Fri.
Elsewhere, smoke from fires in Mexico may reduce visibility at
times in the Bay of Campeche for the next several days.

.MON...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Arthur near 32.4N 76.9W 1003 mb at
11 PM EDT moving NNE at 9 kt. Maximum sustained winds 40 kt gusts
45 kt. Arthur will move to 34.0N 75.6W Mon morning, 35.8N 73.2W 
Mon evening, become extratropical and move to 36.4N 70.0W Tue 
morning, 36.0N 67.7W Tue evening, and 35.0N 66.0W Wed evening. 
Arthur will change little in intensity as it moves near 33.8N 
64.6W late Thu, and weaken as an extratropical cyclone near 31.6N 
62.0W Fri. A set of northerly swell from Arthur may impact the 
waters N of the Bahamas late this week. Otherwise, a high pressure
ridge will persist across the central waters for the next several
days.
