Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from northern Florida to the
north-central Gulf to near Tampico, Mexico will reach from SW
Florida to Tampico, Mexico tonight, then move south of the basin
on Thu while weakening. Fresh to strong northerly winds are
expected in the wake of the front, but mainly over the eastern
half of the Gulf waters. Fresh to strong southerly winds are
expected in the NW Gulf Thu night into Fri ahead of the next
cold front forecast to enter the basin by late Fri. A low
pressure system could develop along the frontal boundary over
the SW Gulf on Sat. Smoke from agricultural fires in southern
Mexico may cause haze and reduced visibilities over the SW Gulf
the next few days.

3 to 4 ft late. 
.THU...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front over the far NW part of the area will 
extend from 31N74W to the NW Bahamas tonight, from 31N70W to the
central Bahamas on Thu, then move across the SE waters on Fri. 
Fresh to strong winds are expected on either side of the front. 
Southerly flow will increase over the NW portion of the area on 
Fri night ahead of another cold front forecast to move off 
northern Florida Sat morning and extend from 31N65W to the NW 
Bahamas by Sat night. Expect increasing winds across the north 
waters Sun night into Mon between a ridge across the forecast area
and a possible low pressure moving across south Florida. 

.TONIGHT...S of 27N, W to NW winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, SW to W
winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming W to NW 20 to 25 kt late. Seas 2 ft
or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms. 
.THU...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 to 4 ft in the afternoon. N of 27N, seas 4 to 6 ft.
.THU NIGHT...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N,
and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of
27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N. 
.SAT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to NE 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N.
