Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A trough extending from near Apalachicola to NE Mexico will weaken as it reaches the southern Gulf waters tonight. A cold front extends from southern Louisiana to inland southern Texas. The front will reach from the far western Florida panhandle to 27N92W and to near 26N95W by early this evening, then reach from near Tampa, Florida to 26N85W and stationary to the south-central Bay of Campeche early Sun. The cold front will exit the SE Gulf Mon. Another cold front will move into the northern Gulf Wed afternoon, reach from the Florida Big Bend to near 25N90W and to near northeastern Mexico early Thu. The western part of the front will become stationary and weaken through late Thu night, while the rest of the front will weaken as it exits the SE Gulf Fri. The front is expected to stall across the central Bahamas Wed as high pressure slides eastward roughly along 31N. Yet another cold front will move off the southeastern U.S. coast and to the NW forecast waters Wed night into Thu preceded by fresh to strong southerly winds along with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
