Strong thunderstorms ahead of the front may produce gusty winds and locally higher seas over the NE Gulf tonight. A reinforcing cold front will move into the NW Gulf late tonight, cross the northern Gulf Sat and Sat night, then extend from near Tampa, Florida into the SW Gulf on Sun. This front will exit the basin by Mon as a high pressure ridge passes eastward across the Gulf early next week.
