Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front this morning stretches from the 
FL Panhandle to just S of Tampico, Mexico. The front will race 
SE and through and out of the Gulf by tonight. In its wake, high
pressure will dive S and settle into the area through the end of
the week. Behind the strong cold front, gales will envelop most 
of the W Gulf today. Storm conditions will develop offshore 
Veracruz this afternoon and evening. Gale conditions will prevail
in the broader SW Gulf through tonight, before N winds diminish 
to strong Thu. Another cold front is likely move into the NE Gulf
Fri night or early Sat. 

.TODAY...S winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming W 25 to 30 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or
less. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong SW winds are expected NE of the Bahamas
today and tonight in advance of a cold front that will move off
the SE U.S. this afternoon. Behind this front, strong NW wind is
expected N of the Bahamas through Thu. By Thu evening, this
front will move E of Bermuda and the Bahamas and into E Cuba.
The cold front will then slow down as it moves E of the Turks
and Caicos Islands and into Hispaniola into the weekend. A
reinforcing cold front is likely to bring strong NW winds to
areas north of 25N this weekend.

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 15 to
20 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of
27N. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...S of 27N, S winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to W late. N
of 27N, SW winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to W to NW 20 to 25 kt
late. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N.
