Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from south-central Louisiana to
28N92W, then becomes stationary to near Tampico, Mexico. The
front will start to shift eastward across the Gulf waters
overnight before stalling and weakening over the SW Gulf Fri and
Fri night. Winds will reach gale force west of the front off
Veracruz on late this afternoon into tonight. High pressure will
build in the wake of the front.  

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Areas of fog.
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft, subsiding to 2 ft
or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.FRI NIGHT...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the area will retreat eastward
enabling a cold front to move off the southeastern coast of the
United States by the upcoming evening. The front will move 
southeastward across the area through Sat before dissipating over 
the central waters Sat night into Sun. High pressure will build in
the wake of the front. A coastal trough NE of Florida may develop
into a weak cold front early next week, dissipating Mon night.

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 ft S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N. Areas of dense
fog with visibilities 1 nm or less within 60 nm of shore.
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N.
