Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front is expected to enter the NW Gulf late
Wed morning. The front will reach from SE Louisiana to near
Tampico, Mexico Wed night, from near Tampa, Florida to the
Yucatan Channel Thu night, then shift southeast of the basin on
Fri. Fresh to strong winds and building seas are expected on
either side of the front. The southerly return flow is forecast
to reach minimal gale force over the NE Gulf on Thu. Winds and
seas will diminish Fri and Sat as high pressure moves
northeastward across the Gulf region. 

.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 ft late. 
.WED...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.WED NIGHT...SE to S winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building
to 5 to 7 ft late. 
.THU...S winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...SW to W winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft. 
.FRI...NW winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming NW to N 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.
.SAT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.SUN...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding
to 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A dissipating frontal boundary extends from 21N55W
to just north of Puerto Rico. High pressure will move eastward
along 29N through mid week in the wake of the front. Southerly
flow  will strengthen north of the Bahamas Wed night into Thu,
ahead of the next cold front moving off the coast of Florida Thu
night  into Fri. Southerly winds are expected to reach gale
force off NE  Florida by Thu night. The front is forecast to
reach from 31N73W  to western Cuba on Fri, from near Bermuda to
the central Bahamas  by Fri night, then stall from 29N65W to the
SE Bahamas on Sat.
