Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Strong low pressure just SE of Pensacola Florida
will move to SE Georgia by Mon morning. A cold front trailing S
of the low will pass to the E of the Gulf by Mon morning as
well. This will allow gales over the NE Gulf and near Veracruz
to subside this evening, but strong winds will linger over the
NE gulf through Mon night as surface troughing on the W side of
the low lingers over the NE Gulf. A ridge will build over the
Gulf Tue and Wed and promote light to gentle winds over the
basin during this time frame.

.TONIGHT...N of 27N SE winds 30 to 35 kt diminishing to 25 to 30
kt this evening. S of 27N S to SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 11
ft. Numerous showers and scattered tstms. 
.MON...W to NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.MON NIGHT...W to NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft in N to
NE swell. 
.TUE...NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.TUE NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Deepening low pressure currently just SE of
Pensacola Florida will move to the Georgia coast by Mon morning,
with a  trailing cold front moving off the east coast of
Florida. SE winds will increase to gale force by late today off
NE Florida ahead of the approaching low and front. The front
will continue to sweep  eastward, reaching from 31N72W to
western Cuba by early Tue as the low slowly moves toward 31N76W.
The low pressure will weaken  little as moves toward 29N65W by
early Wed, with the front  extending to the Windward Passage.
Looking ahead, winds and seas  diminish across the region after
late Wed as the low and front  move farther E and weaken. 

...GALE WARNING TONIGHT AND MON...

.TONIGHT...SE winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and SE 25 to 35 kt N of
27N. Seas 6 to 9 ft in NE swell. Scattered showers and isolated 
tstms. 
.MON...S of 27N, SW winds 15 to 20 kt. N of 27N, SE to S winds
25 to 35 kt, decreasing and shifting to SW 20 to 25 kt in the 
afternoon. Seas 6 to 8 ft in E to SE swell. Numerous showers and 
scattered tstms.
.MON NIGHT...W winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 20 to
25 kt N of 27N. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms. 
.TUE...W to NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.
