Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pressure will persist over the central and NE Gulf through Thu evening, then shift east of the area ahead of the next cold front entering the NW Gulf on Fri. Weak low pressure may form along the frontal boundary Sat over the NE Gulf then lift north of the area Sun night. Fresh to strong east to southeast winds are expected to the northeast of the low. Atlantic high pressure will then build westward across the Gulf through Mon, and help set up fresh to strong southerly flow over much of the western Gulf ahead of an approaching strong cold front. It will gradually dissipate through Thu afternoon. A reinforcing cold front extends from near 31N67W to the N Bahamas near 26N75W. This front will quickly move eastward across the waters through Thu evening and become stationary over the southeast waters Fri evening. It will be followed by weak high pressure that will move off the Carolinas. Another cold front will move off N Florida Sun evening and move NE of the area Sun night.
