Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extending from the western
Florida Panhandle to the central Bay of Campeche will push SE to
extend from near Tampa Bay to the eastern Bay of Campeche
tonight, then from SW Florida to the NW Yucatan Peninsula Fri.
Strong gale to minimal storm force winds follow the front, with
the strongest winds near Veracruz. Seas will peak near 22 ft
near Veracruz this evening. Winds W of the front will diminish
to below gale force by late Fri morning. Strong high pressure
behind the front will support fresh to strong N to NE winds
across the basin this weekend.  

.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building
to 3 to 5 ft late. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

showers and isolated tstms.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure N of the region will shift eastward 
through Fri ahead of a cold front moving into the far NW waters 
tonight. The front will reach from 31N76W to south Florida on 
Fri, then stall. Strong high pressure will push the front again
by Sat night, reaching from 31N72W to south Florida on Sun.
Large  long period NE swell affecting the forecast area with
seas in the 8 to 11 ft range will gradually subside from W to E
late Sat into Sun. 

.TONIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N. 
.FRI...S of 27N, E winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N, SE winds 15 to
20 kt,  shifting to NE to E 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas
2 ft or less S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N. 
.FRI NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or
less, building to 3 ft late. N of 27N, seas 5 to 7 ft.
