Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front will move into the NW Gulf
tonight followed by gale force winds. The front is forecast to
reach from SE Louisiana to near Veracruz, Mexico by Thu morning,
and from near the Tampa Bay area to the central Bay of Campeche
by Thu night. At that time, winds are forecast to peak 35-45 kt
with seas of 14-21 ft over the SW Gulf. Winds are expected to
diminish below gale force by Fri morning.  

.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft in the
evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.THU...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N to NE 15 to
20 kt after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after
midnight. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.SAT...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure building southward across the region 
will support moderate to fresh winds through early Fri. Large 
long period NE swell will continue to move across the forecast 
waters and reach the Caribbean passages on Thu evening before 
subsiding Sat. Seas associated with this swell event are
expected to peak at around 10 to 11 ft. A cold front will move
off the coast of northern Florida on Fri, and stall from 31N74W 
to West Palm Beach, Florida Fri evening through Sun.
