Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen near 22.9N 95.2W
1006 mb at 2100 UTC moving N-NE at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds
35 kt gusts 45 kt. Sixteen will begin to move more NE tonight,
reaching near 24.5N 92.9W around midnight tonight, then continue
NE and gradually expand in size, and reach just offshore of the
western Florida Panhandle around midnight near 29.3N 86.9W,
before moving NE and inland early Sat. Slight strengthening of
this system is expected Friday through Friday night. Marine
conditions will improve rapidly across the basin Sat night
through Sun as Sixteen accelerates off to the NE and into the W
Atlc.

Scattered showers and isolated tstms.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front across the NW waters extending
from 31N71W to central Florida will move eastward into the
central  Atlantic through early Fri, then stall and become ill
defined  east of Florida on Fri. Potential Tropical Cyclone
Sixteen in the SW Gulf of Mexico will move NE across the SE U.S.
this weekend,  and produce strong to near gale force southerly
winds ahead of it across NW Atlc waters Fri night through Sun
night. Weak high pressure will prevail across the area Mon and
Tue.
