Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A large area of disorganized showers and
thunderstorms over the central and eastern Gulf of Mexico is
associated with an upper-level low and a weak surface trough.
Some slight development of this system is possible during the
next couple of days while it moves westward over the western
Gulf of Mexico. The system is forecast to move inland along the
northwestern Gulf coast by late Monday or Tuesday, and further
development is not expected after that time. Weak high pressure
will build over the Gulf through mid week.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S to SW after
midnight. Seas 3 ft. 
.MON...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON NIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE...NW to N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE NIGHT...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Humberto near 28.9N 77.9W 997 mb at 
11 AM EDT moving N at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 
65 kt. Humberto will strengthen to a hurricane near 29.5N 77.7W 
this evening, move to 30.0N 77.1W Mon morning, 30.3N 75.9W Mon 
evening, 30.7N 74.4W Tue morning, and 31.6N 69.6W Wed morning. 
Humberto will change little in intensity as it moves to near
34.5N 62.8W early Thu, and continue to near 39.0N 57.0W Fri. 
Northerly swell will reach the Atlantic passages into the 
Caribbean Sea late on Mon. 

...HURRICANE WARNING...

.THIS AFTERNOON...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS. SW to W winds 10 to
15 kt S of 27N, and W 50 to 60 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 19 ft in NE
to E swell. Scattered showers and isolated tstms. Vsby 1 NM or
less. 
.TONIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. S of 27N,W to NW
winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to SW after midnight. N of 27N,W
winds 60 to 65 kt. Seas 3 to 19 ft in NE swell. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. Vsby 1 NM or less. 
.MON...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. S of 27N,W winds
10 to 15 kt. N of 27N,W winds 60 to 65 kt, becoming W to NW
40 to 45 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 15 ft in NE swell.
Scattered showers. Vsby 1 NM or less.
