Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front located over the southeastern U.S. along with very deep tropical moisture in place continueS to support scattered showers and thunderstorms over the NE and north-central Gulf. Some of this activity may contain gusty winds causing rough seas. Moderate to fresh southwest winds are expected over the NE Gulf ahead of the front through Sun evening. The northern portion of a tropical wave will move from the western Caribbean Sea to the far-south central Gulf on Wed accompanied by ample deep moisture. Fresh to strong winds will pulse over the western Yucatan Peninsula adjacent waters through Mon. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...High pressure ridging extending from near 29N65W to southern Florida will continue to lift northward to north of the area Mon night. A trough, currently about 230 nm east of 65W from 19N to 29N,will quickly track westward across the eastern and central forecast waters this weekend and over the western part of the area Mon before moving inland across Florida on Tue. It is expected to be accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms. The gradient between the high pressure and the tough will maintain mainly gentle to moderate east to southeast winds north of 22N, and moderate to fresh east winds south of 22N through most of the period.
