Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge will remain near the northern
Gulf coast through Sat night. Gentle to moderate east to
southeast winds will generally prevail across the basin, except
that winds will be fresh to strong to the northwest of the
Yucatan peninsula during the evening and overnight hours.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A trough between the Bahamas and Florida will move
across the Florida Peninsula this afternoon. A weak 1018 mb low 
near 29N67W, with a trough to 27N71W will drift southwest to
west through Wed while dissipating. Scattered showers and 
thunderstorms will be around the low and trough through Wed. High 
pressure dominating the basin will maintain gentle to moderate 
east to southeast winds over the Bahamas. The high will be strong 
enough to generate fresh to strong east winds between the 
southeastern Bahamas and Hispaniola through Fri night, primarily 
during the evening hours.

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S
5 to 10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Isolated showers and 
thunderstorms.
