Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Elongated low pressure over the SW Gulf will drift
W-NW tonight, before turning more NW towards Tampico Mexico Mon
through Tue, possibly intensifying to a tropical cyclone.
Elsewhere gentle to moderate east to southeast winds will
persist south of a ridge across the northern Gulf through Tue
night. The ridge will shift east on Wed, and produce S to SE
return flow for most of the basin through Fri.

.MON...SE winds 5 to 10 kt,  shifting to NE to E. Seas 2 ft or
less.

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge extends from the central Atlantic W-SW
across the regional Atlc along 27N-28N to the NW Bahamas and
will shift east-southeast through Mon as a weak cold front
lingers off the southeastern U.S. coast NW of the area. High
pressure  will build southward over the NW waters Mon night
through Tue  night. Fairly tranquil marine conditions are
expected elsewhere  over the forecast area. Broad low pres will
develop across the W  Atlc N of Puerto Rico Mon through Tue and
drift NE through Fri.

.OVERNIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.MON...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or less. N of 27N, seas 3 ft in the
morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.MON NIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TUE...S of 27N, E winds 5 to 10 kt, Seas 2 ft or less. N of 27N,
SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt,  shifting to NE in the afternoon, Seas
2 ft or less, building to 3 ft in the afternoon. 
.TUE NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of
27N, and 3 to 4 ft N of 27N. 
.WED...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.WED NIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft, subsiding to
2 ft or less.
