Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico
will maintain moderate to fresh return flow over the western
Gulf through Wed night. Wind will diminish by late week as high
pressure weakens. A diurnal trough forming over the Yucatan
Peninsula will support fresh to occasionally strong winds each
night as it moves into the southwestern Gulf. Smoke from fires
in southern Mexico will maintain hazy skies over the
southwestern Gulf and Bay of Campeche.

.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A weak and narrow high pressure ridge extending W to
E along about 28N will persist through Thu. The ridge will
slowly lift northward and strengthen Fri through Sun, which will
allow fresh winds to develop over the waters S of 22N. Long
period N to NE swell will continue to move through the area Atlc
waters through Thu. 

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 ft early in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft
or less. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and SE 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after midnight. 
.THU...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S
15 to 20 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after
midnight, then, subsiding to 2 ft or less late.
